The Boya USB Studio Microphone BY-PM500 is a highly functional condenser microphone that is ideal for a wide range of applications including voice recording, interviews, conference calls, vocals, instruments and podcasts. With two recording characteristics - cardioïde and omnidirectional - the microphone is versatile. The cardioïde setting picks up sounds from the front and ignores sounds from the sides, which is particularly suitable for dialogue, podcasts and speeches. The Omnidirectional setting picks up sounds evenly from all directions and is ideal for natural recordings of conversations and ambient noise.
The BY-PM500 is compatible with Windows, macOS and most devices with a USB-C port. Thanks to the USB-A and USB-C cables supplied, you can easily connect the microphone to your computer, tablet or smartphone. The connected device powers the microphone, so no batteries are required. With a software of your choice, such as Audacity or Audition, you can easily make your sound recordings and save them directly.
To use the microphone, loosen the screws on the holder, place the microphone in the desired position and tighten the screws again. Recorded sound can also be listened to in real time by connecting headphones to the microphone via the 3.5 mm output. The volume control and the button for switching between the directional characteristics are located on the front of the microphone. The BY-PM500 can also be placed on a stand using the 5/8" internal thread on the underside.
