The BY-PVM3000S from Boya is a professional high-end directional microphone with a supercardioid polar pattern that is ideal for recording sound over short distances. The S version of the microphone has a length of 28 cm and records sound at an angle of 70 degrees. This results in a higher volume and relatively more ambient noise compared to the M version, which is designed for longer distances. The built-in pre-amplifier module ensures that the sound is amplified, while the low-pass filter reduces unwanted hum caused by air conditioning or traffic.

The BY-PVM3000S is perfect if you want to record sounds up close and filter out background noise at the same time. The built-in XLR connector allows you to connect an XLR cable so that the microphone can be connected directly to a camera. A special cable is available as an optional accessory for connection to an iPhone. The supplied pop cap and wind filter ensure that wind noise is minimised both indoors and outdoors. The microphone is mounted in a holder with rubber bands, which dampens movements or vibrations and protects the sound quality. For cameras without phantom power, the microphone can also be operated with an AA battery.
