The Carson AS-95 is a compact hand-held magnifier with 2x magnification, a 110mm lens and built-in LED lighting. Ideal for reading small print, even in poor lighting conditions. The magnifier has an aspherical lens. This ensures a clearer image, while the distortion from edge to edge is greatly reduced.
For further magnification of small parts, it has a spot lens (7x magnification). The magnifying glass has an ergonomic plastic handle. In addition, the Carson AS-95 has built-in LED lighting that can be operated with two AAA batteries (not included). You insert these batteries into the compartment on the underside of the handle. You can switch the lighting on and off manually and you can set the LEDs to two brightness levels. You can adjust this using the slider on the housing.
The lens is made of crystal-clear acrylic. Compared to glass, acrylic is lighter and more resistant to scratches.

The combination of the large aspherical lens and the built-in light makes this magnifier very suitable for everyday use, for example when reading. Of course, you can also use this magnifier to view small objects in more detail, such as coins or insects.
