The stereo 3.5 mm extension cable offers an easy way to extend the range of your audio applications by five metres. There is a 3.5 mm male jack plug on one end and a 3.5 mm female jack plug on the other. This cable transmits the sound in stereo (left/right), which is particularly important for music and interview recordings. During interviews, the cable ensures that the sounds of the interviewer and the person being interviewed are recorded separately on the left and right channels.
The possible applications for this extension cable are virtually unlimited. It can be used to add extra length to a wired lapel microphone, allowing more freedom of movement during interviews and allowing the camera to be placed further away from the interviewee. It is
also ideal for the Triggertrap and Miops system to increase the distance between your smartphone and the camera. The cable is also suitable for numerous other audio, music and multimedia applications.
Please note that this cable is not directly compatible with smartphones as they use a different type of 3.5 mm plug. If you still want to use the extension cable with a smartphone, you will need a TRS to TRRS adapter, which is available as an optional accessory.
